Chapter 9.5 – Grape’s Interlude

It all started way back when Azure and Buttercup were small.  Grape was enamored of the strange, acrobatic creature who convinced him to marry her in a matter of hours.  He started to question her motives when it became clear she had two kids with two different fathers and was not interested in woohooing with him.  When she finally decided to consummate the marriage, it was soon obvious she was trying to hide a tummy bulge.  He heard rumors that she was seen with a gentleman before taking the man home.  It was soon obvious that she was pregnant.  He began to suspect that it was not his kid.

He found out that the guy’s name was Crème Kaluha.  He decided to head over to Crème’s house to confront him, but his wife Frenchie was home instead.  That’s when he sought his revenge against his wife and her lover.

Café Kaluha.  Daughter of Grape Splash and Frenchie Kaluha.  Raised by Crème.  Frenchie and Crème are still married.  Not only does one have Café and the other spouse has Clover, they also have two daughters together.  Venti who recently gave birth to triplets and Khalilah who has recently brought a baby named Icee in to the world.

To Grape’s dismay, this information never was witnessed by anyone.

When he noticed that Boo was gaining weight and vomiting all the time, he finally figure it out.  He had to sit back and watch his beloved wife continue to have everyone’s babies, but his.  He vowed then and there to do the same thing.

He just chose to be mean about it.

After figuring out that Licorice Colada had planted a kid in his wife, he zeroed in on his wife, Strawby.

He didn’t care where they were or who saw.  He found her at the Art Gallery.

He followed her into the bathroom there (after I had removed the gender specific doors and added a shower) and hooked her good.  He even got her to break up with her husband

As soon as the lullaby sounded, he dumped her.  You could hear his laughter echoing through the works of art.  There were four witnesses.   By the time that Dandy and PIna were toddlers, Strawby and Licorice remarried.  They currently have a toddler aged little girl together named Coconut Colada.

The result was Pina Colada.  Yet again, no rumors were ever spoken.  To this day, Grape believes that Boo has no clue.

Years went by and nothing more happened.  Until one day, while running errands, there were two females talking about Boo kissing a blue masked stranger at the graveyard.    Grape was livid.  He had finally relaxed and thought they were done with this.    It was time to research the blue masked man.

He was unattached.  That is all that ran through Grape’s mind that day and night.  He supposedly had a problem with commitment.  “That’s okay.  I can wait.” he thought.  One of the kids swore they saw their mom with a blue guy in the hot tub.  This observation caught him unawares and shocked him in more ways than one.  The screwdriver he was using to fix the trash compactor slipped and hit something it should not have.  The last thing he remembers was begging Grimmy to let him live so that he could continue on with his revenge attempts.   Grimmy said no.  He laughed while he forced Grape into the grave.

The weeks and months passed and Grape was in a sleep state.  Neither dead nor alive.  He was puzzled by Boo, who came out daily to cry by his grave.  He swears that she said she would find a way to bring him back.

….And she did…..

By this time, Puck (Grape finally got a name) Dementia was living with his fiancé, Lala.

Yet again, he got a female to break up with her other half.

He also started bringing them home for fun and games.  This female did not have a fit when he dumped her afterwards and made her leave.

Soon after Bethany Dementia was born.

So adorable!!

She’s too pretty to be a ghost

Puck and Lala got back together and remarried before little Bethany was even born.  Puck raises her like she’s his own and they can always be found out about the town together.  Puck and Lala have no other children and no plans for any either.

Zee Stardust was rumored to be sniffing around his wife next.  After a little bit of bribery here and there, the information gathered was troublesome.  So troublesome, in fact, that he almost had to skip this revenge attempt.   You see, Zee’s fiancé is Appleanna, Boo’s insane little sister.

After watching the horrible pregnancy that Boo was having.  Watching her lose weight because she couldn’t stop vomiting, he made up his mind.  If he had to watch his wife suffer, than by golly, Zee could watch his fiancé do the same thing.

He hadn’t had such a public display since the Art gallery incident years and years previously.  Watch out library goers, there is now a shower in the bathroom!

When he was through with her, he teleported home.  He never even said goodbye.

Appleanna was not amused.

Frosted mint was barely a day old when he noticed that Boo had disappeared.  She said she was going out to invest their money in the neighborhood businesses, but he just didn’t believe her.  He followed her this time.  He wanted to finally catch her red-handed.  He followed her to Hogan’s diner where she promptly paid them a small portion of the savings to buy into the property.  He saw her make googly eyes at a stranger.  She then made her way around town.  Spending so much money on businesses, that they started to receive child support instead of having to pay it out.  Everywhere she went, that stranger was not far behind.

He asked Azure and Buttercup who the man was when Boo got around to buying the stadium that they both worked at.  After finding out the name.  He started his investigation.

…and the next victim of Grapes’ charms was picked out.

Captured and tossed aside.

Funny tidbit….  Remember a pic like this a few chapters ago?

Licorice on his way to see Dandy being born.  His wife Strawby was heading off to the left to talk to someone when she did the maternity pop right out of camera range.  I found the irony amusing.
